I know this set of images has dreadful backgrounds, but beggars can't be choosers! Yesterday was the first time ever I have spotted a Jersey tiger moth actually settled in the sun, and not only in the sun, but feeding, so I just had to grab a few images before he returned to his usual shady spot.

I guess you just have to accept what b/g is there or risk losing the shot, but I think you have done so well to capture this moth feeding, Carol.
Good set.

I don't think that anyone who has already commented is so anally retentive as to obsess on the background. It is what it is, the background to where you found this lovely creature feeding in the wild. I love all three shots, but particularly 1 & 2 with the extended proboscis on show.

Who gives a flying log about the backgrounds Carol, it beats a next groundsheet or Debenhams bedsheet anyday!Tongue A fine set of close ups of this difficult to capture moth. I saw a couple of these at Sand Point a few weeks ago but did not managed even one record shot!
