Prestbury Hill Butterflies III

A selection of shots of some of the butterflies and moths that I've seen on my visits to Prestbury Hill nature reserve near Cheltenham this year.
V1 - Male Chalkhill blue on knapweed
V2 - Dark Green Fritillary on Oxeye Daisy
V3 - Mating small heaths taken on Cleeve Common on Wednesday
V4 - Dingy Skipper on birdsfoot trefoil
V5 - Female Dark Green Fritillary
V6 - Dark Green Fritillary nectaring on knapweed
V7 - Ringlet
V8 - Peacock
V9 - Large Skipper
V10 - Female Common blue on birdsfoot trefoil
V11 - Five Spot burnet moth
V12- Six Spot burnet moth
V13 - Six Spot burnet moth on knapweed
V14 - Six Spot burent moth on scabious
V15 - A tatty female Silverwashed fritillary

A set of huge proportions built of from beauty, clarity, charm, and shear quality Ed. Image 8 is wonderfully dreamy and thus my favourite.

Good heavens, what a wonderful set! However, Vs 11, 12, 13 and 14 are mothsWink!
I like V4 with the inclusion of the little beetle, and V5 for the aerodynamics.
