Canterbury Cathedral Crypt

By carper123
Naughty boy, an image of the Crypt in Canterbury Cathedral, "NO Pictures Allowed", but I managed to get this one. Obviously no tripod or flash, camera only hanging round my neck, stood as still as I could, silent shutter and remote, took about 6 images and this was about the best I could do.
Please don't report me BlushBlushBlushBlushBlushBlushBlushBlushBlushWinkWinkSmileSmileSmile. LOL. I was clocked in the end, so made a swift exit. BlushWinkSmile
Darryl.

I'm glad you could get this image to share with those of us not lucky enough to be able to visit there.
It is truly a beauty. Well done.

Don't those signs just make you want to take pics Grin. I did it in a room at Versailles where it said no flash, unfortunately my camera automatically turned on the flash - I got told off BlushBlushBlush.
You have done a pretty good job of getting this shot. I like it Darryl. Moira

Well taken Darryl! You've done well - I don't see why photographs should be outlawed. Maybe so they can sell more postcards...?

Quite beautiful! Love the brooding aura of it. My grandson thought it funny to photograph the 'No photography' sign in the Rural Village on Skye!!!

I bet when they built this in the year 597 Darryl,
they did not mind you taking a pic of the builders then.
Progress gone mad is what I say !!
Splendid shot.

I admire you for ignoring the rules, they really annoy me.
I love crypts and this one is wonderful. Arches, pillars, oodles of texture, how can anyone resist taking a picture?

Most buildings open to the public seem to have dropped the "No Photography" rule as long as you don't use flash

Excellent composition and post processing.
