Green Strawberry

By cathsnap
Trying out my new macro lens, amazing to see little seed pods on the skin. Makes the camera quite heavy and therefore a little difficult to hold still. Learnt that bees are impossible to photograph, they won't stay still for a second. Took some nice, detailed flower shots, but need to learn how to make the photos interesting from a composition/creative point of view?

Congratulations, - didnt take long to get that macro lens!

A new world awaits. This is a decent shot.

Some general tips for macro: as the lens focuses closer to the subject, you may need to use smaller apertures to get depth, so keep an eye on shutter speed that it doesn't get slow enough to need a tripod; if it does, use one.

Minuscule movement of a subject are magnified when the lens is close, so if in doubt, use a faster shutter.

I did a quick mod, really more contrast and a but of sharpening.
