There is only one world; the world pressing against you at this minute. There is only one minute in which you are alive; this minute here and now. The only way to live is by accepting each minute as an unrepeatable miracle.

Blimey - thank you everyone and thank you to Peter, David and Mile for your awards Smile Ledley says thank you too!

Needless to say - as with most cats - I make the best of what I can get. Sometime he's happy to sit and let me mess about - sometimes, like this evening there wasn't a hope of getting a decent photo.

This time he was lit by a LED light panel behind which, and pointing away, was a flash aimed at the curtains to bounce back a bit more light. There was a reflector on the other side too. It might sound a bit of a faff but makes for a far softer image than pointing the light right at him (as in the version photo)

I'm pleased to hear all is well again with your kitten Fiona - happily Ledley has been absolutely fine now for ages - since his bout of cystitis (which was enough to send me to the funny farm)

Nice story about your moggy Kevin Smile Ledley's owner became unable to look after him last summer so I took him on though it looks like he's here to stay. He's only five so hopefully has a few years left in him yet!

Thank you everyone and thank you Guy, Ron and Lin for your awards Smile

Much as generally I don't like the intrusion of modern 'stuff' into such images, it was in fact the dumped shopping trolley that drew my eye in the first place. The pair walking along the path were just a bonus - and certainly made for a better image than had they not been there.

I'm sure I can come up with a version without the trolley - just a case of standing and waiting for the appropriate bods to come along.

Thanks everyone - no sunshine today so I won't be running away Smile

I work for an insurance brokers - a fairly small office and I'm a department of one. It's only me that is inconvenienced if I take time off so it's rather good. It's one of the reasons I'm still in the job - 30 years come November and I only came to the place as a temp!

Thanks everyone - and apologies for the delay!

Ledley and I have a photo session pretty much every evening - he's keen for a few treats and I'm always happy to experiment with the lighting etc. - as long as he is. Happily most of the time he's very obliging.

Ledley is mostly very obliging - he was happy to sit for photos again this evening - well he does every evening - I'm having to be brutal with my photo culling!

Glad to hear your boys are fine after their visit to the vet Fiona Smile
