There is only one world; the world pressing against you at this minute. There is only one minute in which you are alive; this minute here and now. The only way to live is by accepting each minute as an unrepeatable miracle.
Been photographing roses this evening - results tomorrow if you're lucky

Hello Sohfian - thanks for taking a look at this extremely old picture - I'd forgotten all about it!

I recognise your work from the thumbnails now! Lovely pic.
I treated myself to a big bunch of flowers today so I'll be doing lots of pictures over the weekend

Clematis Montana
You have a very under-rated collection of photographs here and certainly deserve more attention.
With this picture I'd have been inclined to give it a bit more space at the top but other than that it's nicely taken and presented.

I know it's a long time since you uploaded this but I have just to say that I love it - the colours, presentation - everything.

A Lovely Sunny Day
Back again - first as you can see I'm using a Coolpix 950. I have a nikon UR-E7 step up wotsit to bring the thread size up to 46mm - then a 46-49mm step-up ring and finally a Hoya 49mm Infrared R72 filter on top of all that.
Hope that all makes sense

Dicentra
Like the picture - I can see the point of view about the leaves - maybe it's not that they're too bright but that the flowers in the background are a little too dark if you get what I mean
Whatever, it's a goodun

Lucky Snap
I've not seen any mice in my garden since so am very pleased to have this picture. Fortunately I keep a camera right by the patio doors, lens cap off and ready to go! I've masses of photos of frogs though

Geum Rivale
Sadly a piece of black velvet is all I have at the moment for a background. I simply clip it to a stand, sit the lot down by the patio doors and let the sunshine come in through the muslin curtains.
Since joining ephotzine however I'm greatly encouraged by your comments and shall hopefully spend the weekend searching out alternative backgrounds and even experimenting with lighting!

Sparrow vs Gold Finches
I said snap when I saw these pictures - I have a series also shot through double glazing but solely featuring sparrows so you had rather more decorative subject matter.
