Me......

By cattyal
I've been dithering about this one - I like it and know full well that many won't but then I tend not to worry all that much about whether anyone else will like my efforts - thank goodness Smile

Thanks to it being a bit chilly I had a quick self-portrait session in my tiny bedroom which heats up very quickly with the fan-heater going. Roll on the warmer weather when I can take my time!

Generally fiddled and faffed but only a grungy layer and curves messed with.

Its sinister and sends a chill down my spine. Its very well done and I love the striking black and white mask, the contrast with the tattoos and background and how the mask resonates with the dolls face.
Its not a matter of like, its the impact you make.

Very sinister indeed.....I like this a lot, in a creepy kind of way. And are they tattoos or is that a patterned long sleeve top. If they are tattoos....wow! Love them! If not, I like that top! lol!

Thanks everyone - creepy/sinister/odd was what I was after and hopefully I achieved that!

I'm not sure what I'll do with the clown yet - a charity shop buy and I just stripped his outfit off - maybe he'll stay like that or maybe I'll take the hat off as well sometime

As for the tattoos - it's just a tube of printed nylon Smile I've three other designs so I dare say they might appear again sometime.....

Apparently it seems quite a few ppl actually like this. And you can certainly add me to the list.

Great image. And love the 'tattoos'.

Thank you again everyone - did anyone notice the clown face on the 'tattoos'?

It's not bad what can be achieved sat on my bed in a room that's about 7 foot square - a small studio is possible if a little squished!

When it's warmer I'll use the big room again and maybe get the striped legs out as well!

If I had put this together I would be a happy bunnie...certainly in my way of doing things...maybe a einsy weinsy bit more light to the eyes and face.....but thats nit picking....If I could give it a user award it would get one..off to look at your pf!

Thank you again everyone.

I agree with your thoughts about the light Richard - the main problem with doing these SPs is seeing what on earth I'm doing - especially with that mask on as well. Simply a case of hoping for the best most of the time and thankfully I usually get a few decent ones out of a session.

A stunning, scary image very well thought out, executed and captured.

It immediately reminded me of the the Beatles song "Elanor Rigby" - "Wearing the face that she keeps in a jar by the door, Who is it for?"

A superb, thought provoking image - great work
