Simply Me.....

By cattyal
I was supposed to be doing something else upstairs but thought I'd lob myself in front of the camera for 10 minutes.

I kept wondering why this looked a bit odd - I must have had my left hand across the right side of my face but my arm is totally straight - it doesn't look like my hand Smile

It might be a bit dark - not entirely sure......

Another excellent piece of work to add to your fantastic PF. Love the use of lighting, tones and texture of this image.

Have to agree with you, something about the angle as it doesn’t look like your hand…….but I like it! Great work.

Thank you Smile

I thought it might be a bit dark - trouble is much lighter shows up all the flaws Wink

Ah - Adobe RGB - I usually work in PSP so don't have to think about things like that but did use PS for a bit to remove some marks on my hands that were a tad annoying. I'll remember in future!

I'm not surprised it's too dark - I still can't get this laptop screen to match any of my other monitors - one day I'll crack it! I'll doubtless be horrified when I view it on my monitor at work tomorrow!

Heck - my expression is usually anguished - or thoughtful - or downright miserable Smile

I like the idea and the subdued tone but for me (and on my monitor, of course) it is just too dark and I think that, without altering the excellent mood, it would be easy to just bring out the highlights more to improve the impact.

Too dark for me - but a vote for sharing an image that reminds me of a partial moon for some reason.

Hi Alison

Just love your work and the areas you take it.

This image is a little dark but has nothing to do with the brightness.
I have uploaded a mod, hope you like it. Just a take on the excellent image.

I'm probably in the minority, but I love it as it stands, dark or not !...it has tremendous mood, intriguing, threatening almost......but a brave & different image, & a 1st class piece of work !!!!
