Too right Dave - I'm just not as glamorous in real life as I feel when wearing long black gloves. In fact I'm now going to don washing up gloves and do the dishes - how glam is that? Smile

Very Audrey Hepburn.

Like this a lot.
Not sure if showing the elbows would look even better but still - great shot.

Simply love this. Its a classic Hepburn elengant look. Hope we can see more uploads with this theme.

Comments, which are purely personal taste:
- Would have liked to have seen the elbows
- Rather than totally hiding the face, to have it partially hidden or in deep shade

Now, please do not take it down.

Thanks folks - the picture stays as I make it a point not to remove images that have been commented on!

The reason my elbows aren't shown is mainly because I was still wearing my nice warm scruffy trousers and woolly socks - they kinda took the edge off the sophistication Smile Next time I'll put a heater on in the room and do the job properly!

We'll see about the face - no promises...... Smile

Careful Stuart - I'm not that good - yet Wink

Now I have to try to keep my standards up and get them higher - that's the tricky bit - especially when you're sat in front of the camera with a big hat on and can't really tell what you're doing - and it's cold Smile

I'll keep plugging on though - maybe another SP tomorrow though with fewer curves Smile

I was going to say - take it down and you get your backside tanner the next time I see you.
But thank God for your own rules

and you are quite glamourous

Blimey - I'm glad I let it stay up then!

I'm not glamorous now - several layers of warm stuff and thermal socks - ah stylish ain't the word for it!

If your mother sees this she will tell you to get a vest on, you will catch a cold Smile

Thanks again Smile it's the gloves that make the picture - it's hard not to be stylish, or feel stylish, when wearing a pair like that!

As for mother Kate, if you don't tell her I won't Smile Besides I did have a fan heater blasting away in front of me...

Like Carole and Michael above, the thumbnail put me in mind of Audrey Hepburn. Classy image Alison. I must look out that magazine article.

Ah - if only I really was like Audrey - oh well.......

Thanks though - I reckon I'll be playing with this hat again very soon - well maybe at the weekend!

Well I have used the marigolds in other pics but none worth showing off Smile I suspect I'll stick to the classic look!

Works for me. Would be fractionally better with elbows, I think — I'm sure your socks aren't that long! Grin

If the sun comes out at the weekend and warms the 'studio' up a bit then I'll try some more - without the extra hidden layers!

I think this is great - although I think the central part, with the front of your throat, might be better covered by your hands to keep it even more graphic.

I soooo want you to do the same pose but with rubber gloves on... you know you want to !! lol!!

Thanks Katie Smile

I was going to do some more with the hat this afternoon but quite frankly I'm too tight to put any heating on and it's too flipping nippy to remove my layers Smile Plus I've just put a load of dye on my hair so that's me out of commission for at least the next half hour or so!

I'll see what I can do with the rubber gloves - now do I got for bog-standard yellow or find something a bit more exotic? Smile

Get a hot water bottle!!

I really like the idea of the bandage shots because there's normality combined with craziness... juxtoposition, incongruity, that kind of thing!

The hat shot is great, but it's not as quirky.

I've got a hot water bottle Katie - but really must replace it as it's got that whiff that says the rubber is starting to degrade and will spring a leak one day! It's just one of those things I keep forgetting to buy!

I will return to the bandage head pics as soon as a bright idea appears - I've tried to produce shots for the sake of it and they just don't work - I need that ping of inspiration and then they usually come out fine. I think I need to go on a prop gathering session and lay everything out on the living room floor!
