I have a new 'toy' - yes, I went for it and bought the Samyang 8mm fisheye yesterday and took myself off to work early this morning so I could wander through town taking a few pics.

I've done a pseudo HDR on a layer on this and then dropped the opacity somewhat - a bit over-kill maybe but for now I'm having fun and will apply myself properly soon - maybe......

Thanks everyone! I certainly think this lens has potential for some interesting shots - for now it's just a case of carrying it round town with me in my lunchbreaks but it won't be long before I'm in Edinburgh and should have fun there.

I'd not considered the HDR group as it's not exactly the same thing Jase - I'll take a look though and see if I'm brave enough to bear the scrutiny!

Find me an expert Dave and I'll see what they can do Smile

V1 is great - so much movement it almost gave me vertigo! Wonderful colors and composition.

Thanks again everyone Smile I'll certainly be going back again next time I'm up early enough to get into town before work. I can then try a few different angles.

Excellent use of the fisheye in this series Alison, Cheltenham as I've never seen it before! V3 is particularly dramatic and impressive. Having said that v1 is my favourite and was the correct choice as the lead photograph

I'm very definitely glad I bought the fisheye Edmund - it did come off the camera briefly yesterday but will be back on today if the weather bucks up a bit and I venture out.

I might try Tewkesbury if the sky breaks up a bit from its current flat white and dull......
