Earlier in the week I had debated whether to go to RIAT at Fairford today. A local coach company runs an excursion there and actually going by coach makes real sense as the price, including transport, is less than a regular entry ticket. However, I checked out the weather forecast and saw that it was highly likely that there would be a lovely layer of cloud present all day and quite frankly I don't want to pay £50 odd quid to watch planes disappearing into the clouds and have to amend their displays to accommodate the weather. Blue sky and the odd fluffy cloud is my preferred backdrop. Maybe next year............
In the end I spent a good chunk of the day at home tidying up this and that and generally not achieving a lot before going out to the care home to visit dad. Of course that was when the rain decided to arrive - as I was standing at yet another bus-stop. At least it wasn't raining when I left the care home though I opted for a bus back just in case.................
