Photo 365 - Number 125 - Snowdrop

18 Feb 2012 8:26PM   Views : 4214 Unique : 372

Another day when I've barely touched the camera - don't ask me what I've done - well I know I vacuumed and tidied up a bit and filled a charity bag full of never worn clothes, oh and mooched round town for an hour or so - but apart from that who knows Smile

I did at least take a few pics of the snowdrops I bought - I've got tulips too so can play with them next week......

Quote:snowdrops I bought

Is that bought from florist or grown in the garden from bulbs that you bought.

I do like this quite a lot as them being this "open" is not something I usually see out in the "wild' as it were.

If we could "vote" on a blog I would as the detail & texture in the petals is excellent Smile

Ah it's florist grown - rather expensive actually at 1.50 for 5 stems but hey ho.

My garden snowdrops aren't quite open yet and as you say, the wild ones don't open up like this. However I do have some nice double ones out there so maybe I can persuade them to lift their heads when they're ready to be photographed Smile

I may yet upload this to my portfolio another day so you'll be able to 'vote' on it then Wink
