Photo 365 - Number 365 - Their First Anniversary

Ok - actually I'm sure I got my numbering wrong with this 365 blog and in fact the real 365 was a few days ago. However having decided on what pic I was going to do I decided to go ahead anyway and set this little lot up.

I fear a lot of tidying up will be required before I can do any more pics now.......

Well done Ali!
I've numbered each of mine individually and I've still gone wrong a few times.

Congratulations indeed Alison, you made it to the end with some extras
The year spent inside your head has been an amazing and highly entertaining journey, seriously well done
The only question now is ...... where to from here ..... another 365 maybeTongue ? ? ? ? ?

Thanks Smile

Whether I'll be quite so diligent from now on I'm not sure - it'd be no trouble to keep doing a daily entry - I've been doing a daily upload elsewhere since 1st June 2009 and have only missed 12 entries.

Mind you if I keep going for a while there's a good chance I could overtake Pete and end up top of the Blog leader board Smile

Well done on hitting 365 or is that 366 or 367 Wink Quite a good feeling when you get there isn't it!

Actually I think it's 371 days - I'm way out Smile Nice to get there though - if a tad inaccurately Smile

Well done Alison! Not only have you uploaded one a day for a whole year, but most of your images have been well thought out and of brilliant quality and content. Smile

Thanks Chris - can I let myself go now and post utter dross? Smile

Actually I'm vaguely thinking about setting myself weekly themes to follow which would mean yet more blog uploads - I've not decided yet Smile

Quote:I'm vaguely thinking about setting myself weekly themes

I began my 366 with that idea and it worked for a time. My first upload was a shot of 'The Sweet Station,' a traditional sweet shop in town.
Jack (Strokebloke) suggested using 'stations' as a theme for a while and for a while, it worked.
I photographed every 'station' that I could access fairly easily and I had been planning to try to get some shots inside the Police and Fire stations, maybe with a friendly sergeant leaning on a desk or a fireman in full kit; that kind of thing.
It wasn't a lack of ideas that swayed me from that path but a lack of time for the groundwork and preparation that would need to go into getting the shots.
In the end, I resorted to taking varied, random, opportunist shots which is what I'm best at anyway.
As a weekly theme though, presumably, one shot a week, it could work.

Congrats Alison. I am currently doing a 52 which has been testing enough just getting one photo a week that I am happy to share, to do it on themes would be doubly testing, for me, but for someone who has completed a 365 (or however many) it may be entirely doable and I look forward to following it. Maybe I will even draw inspiration to start one myself for next year. Well done on this one.

Well I've not made any decisions yet on what to do next. Doing a 365 hasn't been that difficult - mostly probably because I live alone, have lots of props and plenty of time to play in the evenings. Even then I still had to do the odd emergency upload when I've been away or busy at other things.

If you do go for a 365 Paul you might have to lower your standards just a wee bit - it's night on impossible to produce a masterpiece once a month let alone every day Smile

I could probably manage a once weekly themed pic - definitely not a daily one though!
