Calla

By cattyal
I can't decide if this is quite nice or just boring and ordinary - I expect I'll make my mind up tomorrow.

Still I suspect this is the last of the flowers in the pot and as it was still in good nick I chopped it and brought it in. After all that is one of the reasons I bought the thing - to take pics of and avoid having to pay 5 for about three stems. With any luck once I get this in the ground it will live and flourish - time will tell.

Genuine raindrops this time - it's been dry all day and when I want to go mooch round the garden it starts raining.....

The blasted focus ring on the lens is jamming up again - it's ok on autofocus but on manual it takes a few attempts ie. switching between auto and manual - before it will turn. I had it repaired last year after it jammed up totally but I suspect the guarantee on that job has expired - must see if I can find the receipt.

We had masses of these in our garden and would get 60-70 flowers each year.
Last year we had to make a new pond due to house extension and had to move it.
Thought it had died but started to see new growth, then the frost got it.
It is still alive but not sure if it will flower this year. Sad

Never have got a shot that I am happy with though.

Oops - sorry for not coming back sooner to say thank you everyone! Thank you too Charles for your award - very much appreciated Smile

I've had about 7 or 8 flowers from the plant I bought earlier this year but have actually only cut one flower so far to photograph. Fingers crossed it will get through the winter ok, though I might add a layer of straw for insulation, and hopefully I'll have lots more for years to come!
