Award Shortlist

Continuing with the same three Tulips used in yesterday's shot here is one about half an hour later.

I'd removed them from the new vase which was full of sand, plonked them in a convenient pot of water and within a very short time one of them had opened all the way up. Within the next hour all the petals were folded right back over the stem and I dare say if I looked at them now then it would be minus its petals Smile

Ah well, all in the name of 'art' and I've lots more where they came from!

Oh and I've bought a can of lemonade Hilary to experiment with!

Oops - I've been too busy trying to find a 70s picture to upload and forgot to come back here Smile

Thank you everyone - I'm rather enjoying playing with these Tulips and I have to admit that there will be a few more yet as I bought yet more today! I've even got a white one sitting in a pot of black food dye to see what happens - yes I'm very cruel to my flowers but it's a sacrifice that is sometimes worthwhile!

Thank you again everyone - I've a stack of Tulips sitting in the kitchen waiting to be photographed - I guess Sunday will be spent switching between painting woodwork, installing a loft-hatch and photographing Tulips!
