Farm Cat

By cattyal
The first offering from a weekend of photo taking and a slight departure from my usual subject matter.

Slightly cropped, converted to b/w (which I have to practice)and a dash of USM.

Great composition, it almost looks like a natural frame, and the tall grass works a treat.

I like the framing provided by the fence rails, but i'm not too sure about the monochrome treatment. Overall I like it though

Hi - thanks for your comments. Indeed the frame is the real thing - the fence rails to the paddock which houses Diana the pony with whom the cat likes to curl up Smile

I turned it to B/W mainly because of the cat having a very green chin presumably due to the large quantity of grass around it!

I've posted a colour version on the 'Variations' page of my personal website which can be found via my profile page so you can see the colour version if you want. The site is being constantly rejigged until I'm happy with it so forgive me if anything doesn't quite look/work right although I think its all ok.
