Just two still life pics produced today and I can't decide which I like best - so the fiddle goes first.

I thought I'd play with a different texture for a change but as I can't decide whether it's any good or not I'll put it up as a variant.

Well I would if I could get it to work - I'll try later and see if it'll play then.....

You make great still life shots look so easy. It is an area that I just can't seem to get right at all. I have never taken a decent still life. I admire your stuff as I know the skill involved in a shot such as this. .Peter

A nice change with the addition of the music which is very clear and 'sharp'!
Excellent composition and we'll await the other texture when it appears!
This one looks good to me.

Thanks folks Smile

I can't really give any useful tips on the still life front - just put stuff together and then add/move/remove until it looks right.

Good question Ian - and the answer is - not a clue Smile

I've popped the variant as a mod instead Kate - maybe it'll work for me when I switch the laptop back on tomorrow but I'm disinclined to restart it now to find out Smile

Thanks everyone Smile I do rather like the texture I used on my mod so may well try to put something together tonight that will work with it.

Alas I didn't have any suitable music to put with this - I've a few music booklets now gathered from various charity shops but none that fit the autumnal theme - maybe I'll print my own sometime!

Oh the props get stored all over the place David - most of them live in the 'studio' which used to be the master bedroom. That said, some have migrated to the hallway at the top of the stairs but they look quite good up there - mostly my leather suitcases and collection of OTT shoes Smile The joy of living solo is that I can spread my 'stuff' all over the place and there is no-one to complain Smile
