Blimey - thank you everyone and thank you John for your award!

Having seen many wonderful bug/butterfly/moth shots on here I never thought for one minute I'd make the magic 30 let alone manage a user reward - one happy bunny here Smile

Thanks for the id Bri - looking at of course the name makes total sense. It wouldn't oblige and open up its wings but I've just been to shut up the back doors and it's stretched out on the garage wall at the moment. Maybe it lives in the garden - after all I read that the caterpillars like ivy and I've plenty of that in the garden....

I imagine it was only obliging as it was probably a tad dozy it being about 10.30 this morning when I took the pictures - I'm sure if I tried to catch it now it would leg it pronto Smile

You know, for once I'm glad I've got a stack of coloured backgrounds - pieces of A3 foam stuff that very rarely sees light of day. I tried a white background and it just looked dull but the green came out far better than expected. Maybe I should try to introduce a bit of colour in my flower pics as well - a scary thought!

Thank you again everyone - no interesting beasties found today but fingers crossed I'll come across some more. You've all been extremely encouraging and I might make more attempts with the bugs and wotnot! Mind you it does help to find something as good looking as this chap
