both of us I think - serves me right for doing nothing but sit in the garden with a book all afternoon Smile

Take advantage of sitting in the garden - the opportunities have been too few this year! Love the "weariness" - this is a lovely image.

The subtle colour and varying textures are beautifully done Alison

That looks a lovely vase Alison. Holding some weary peonies. They've held on to their youth as long as possible.......Sandy

Splendid blooms giving their all before they shed their petals like tears at their own passing.

Thanks folks! Given that I only bought these flowers on Saturday I did rather hope they'd last a bit longer. Maybe I'll squeeze a few more pics out of them yet - fingers crossed!

I hadn't seen this when I set the macro challenge - you've got a couple of candidates already. Love the dark light (?) here!

Thanks again everyone Smile I must see if I can squeeze a few more pics out of these tomorrow evening!

Oh yes Ann - I've lots of candidates for the macro challenge - a bunch of 3 year old Sunflowers, some 2 year old dried Hydrangea heads, some rather ancient dead Tulips - the list goes on Smile
