Thanks everyone Smile

Thanks too for the mod Roy - I did wonder if there would be a halo visible round my hair - I can't see it on this monitor but I bet it will be apparent on my work monitor (I'll check tomorrow). I'd erased the hair on one of the layers to bring the curls back but did think it might not be too successful!

Beautiful image and lighting, the on black background gives a strainge cut off by your fingers. V1 is the best.

Thanks again everyone Smile

I know what you mean about my hand Stuart - This was the first photo I took and, as usual, was the best. Unfortunately I hadn't realised that I was zoomed in a bit too close and had chopped my hand off but further attempts just didn't come out as well. It's rather tricky doing these self portraits sometimes!

I wonder if a frame might improve it? I've just added one quickly....

Smile i was thinking the same, the frame does help well V2 is now my favourite.
SP's are tricky, i've used the camera timer when i can't have my hand shown and the wireless remote when i can hide my hand.

Good Smile

I try not to use the timer as I get really bored waiting for the 10 seconds to count down! Wireless pretty much all of the time for me - as in this one my right hand was out of sight so it was easy.

My feet come in handy too - I often put the remote on the floor and operate it with my toe Smile

Thank you William - who knows, maybe one day I'll actually have the time to do some more self portraits - though it might not be for a few weeks......
