I need more flowers to play with - my regular flower seller seems to have stopped trading which is a serious shame as he was the best supplier of locally grown flowers in the area - all the other stalls have the same old stuff

Love the pic and great processing. You say your not sure if it works for you Catt. It could be that its because the vase/mug needs to be standing on something. As it is, it looks like its floating. It's the first thing that caught my eye. Maybe if you had a small milking stool or something along those lines then I'm sure you'll find it works better

You're right Chris - a common problem with this kind of image - very often the objects need grounding. Maybe less texture on the left and more of the shadow would help as well! I'll rummage around for something to stop the floating

You have a rare talent to make dead flowers beautiful. I love this image. Having read the above comments about the floating look of the tankard I think maybe if you mirror imaged the texture which is on the bottom left of the tankard to the right it would look as if it were standing on an old worn stone shelf. Just a thought
