The Collection Grows....

By cattyal
Guess who went wandering around the charity shops this morning? Yep - me and I found another 5 blue glass vases for a grand total of 4 - suits me fine!

Very tricky doing the flower against the vases though - I'm not sure it works and may well reshoot tomorrow without the lower flower. I think the mix of the hard glass and the soft flower means I can't quite get the effect I want - who knows, I might succeed tomorrow!

like the flowers in the vases, but the short one doesnt fit in with the rest of them for me.

Well I certainly wish that I could achieve such a good result - great colour combination - very interesting lines in the flowers stems

Intriguing collection, good choice of colours, good arrangement, not sure about the background colour. The shadow on the bottom right shouldn't be there, I know its not easy though, I get that problem.

I thought yesterday's was wonderful ..this is just superb ! I love your vases, especially their shape and colour. The contrast between the blue and the orange works so well.

Thanks all - I'll give it a go without the lower flower tomorrow and see how it comes out. A brighter day would be handy as I prefer to shoot by natural light so it's a bit hit and miss how the pics come out.

As far as the shadow goes I tend to prefer to leave them in - I used to fret about shadows here and there but nowadays I quite like them Smile
this is an absolutely beautyful shot, well done

Morning all and thank you again Smile

These bottles look nice against the black background too so I'll give that a go today - happily we have sunshine (gasp) so the light is somewhat better than yesterday!

Don't bother with the Sue Ryder shop in Cheltenham Janet - I cleared them out Smile

A beautiful and colourful image, Alison...agree with above about the shorter flower, but still excellent.
