They ended up going their separate ways - the ant had two cohorts but they were pretty useless.

Apparently Wasps will pick up ants and dump them elsewhere if they're proving competition for food - so I'm told....

I confess that for the last few weeks my evenings have been full of tv indulgence in the form of Breaking Bad and resulting in a fair amount of neglect in everything! It was good though!
