Orange glow

Orange glow by Georgerees123

Excellent shot, George.
My only niggle is that there is too much in the foreground.
Maybe next time (if you are lucky) you could lower your point of view by a few centimeters. But that is just my (un-professional) opinion.
Keep your shots coming in - they are good.

Full Force Folly

Full Force Folly by mikesmith

Not up to your usual standard, Mike.
There is too much clutter at the bottom of the shot. Didn't you fancy getting your feet wet getting up close.
Or am I just jealous - you know me, Mike.
When I get close to your standard, I'll know I am nearly there (if I don't fluff it before).
I am planning to go to the folly on Friday, weather permitting.

At last, a steam train allowed to show what it is made for.

Excellent shot of this very shy bird.

Why do you hide these fantastic shots for months before letting us see them.

Sunset Blues

Sunset Blues by mikesmith

My wife said it's beautiful - so it gets my vote.

An excellent image, Tom. Lovely and clear throughout the shot.

Low Down

Low Down by mikesmith

I see you have been back to Scaleber. I find it easier to step down on to the lower slabs rather than crawling in the mud. Still - that's probably why your photos are so much better than mine. Not that I am jealous or anything.

The Hogwarts Express!

Good shot. Nice to see the steam without a diesel backup.
I will be travelling on the Jacobite at the beginning of October and I will look out for this spot.

So simple, so clear and very effective.
Great shot,

Great shot. I have tried shooting flowers in the past, but they have never resulted in that little bit of extra magic that yours display.

Sun rays

Sun rays by feefeepootle

This is a very well executed shot of the setting sun over the sea.

The Scarborough Flyer

The Scarborough Flyer by Alan_Baseley

A good B&W shot, Alan.
I agree with you that the steam engine was doing some of the work. I will be putting my shot on site this evening of the Flyer coming out of the tunnel at Marsden. The duchess came out of the tunnel very slowly and with very little exhaust, but then she suddenly belched and smoke and steam poured out of her as she pulled away very strongly down the slope into Huddersfield.

pixley falls

pixley falls by gravelgerttie

This shot could be much improved by removal of the rubbish at the bottom. I have the same problem with lots of my shots. I am told that I should stand directly in front of the falls, remove all the unwanted debris and trees and then take the shot. If the location is readily available to you - try it. The falls look quite interesting and I would be interested in seeing further shots.

Great Shot.
I have photos of the KWVR at Howarth, but never managed a good one at Oxenhope. It is time I paid another visit.
Love the HDR effect.
