Thistle?

Thank you for taking the time to look at my image and your kind comments and votes on yesterdays image.

I took this shot recently and thought it was a thistle but when I checked on the internet it appears it's not, but now I don't know what it is, I expect its a weed, hope you all are going to help again with identifying this, I won't be able to sleep until I know!!!!!

Superb image - this is a teasel - grows in hedgerows and woodlands - used in dried flower arrangements along with dried honesty and dried poppy seedheads.
There ends the lesson for today!! Wink

I used them down holes in my old cottage to stop mice from coming in. Great image. Peter.
