One thing I couldn't help noticing in Cuba was the way colours would overlap, blending in between people and their immediate environment. Take the girls bag and the wall behind her as a classic example. One of many!

I really like this one. I love children caught in the act of being children. The colors are marvelous.

Great shot, Tim, well deserved award. Your Cuban and Mexican portfolio is inspiring. You really capture the essence of those places, with amazingly sharp and colorful images and great compositions.

Ditto what Eric said! I don't think you needed to give a reason for the title itself - the title fits anyway and feels just absolutely right. Fits the place, the mood and the energy, and this is perfect in colour.

What catches me even more is the internal response I had BEFORE I knew she was watching a vicious dog fight, and AFTER.

Congrats on the award, Tim. Its amazing how certain things give people satisfaction. I can relate to the young lady here, while i was growing up in a West African country. I'd see a dog fight, and there'd be a small arena of us surrounding the 'gladiators'. Looking back it was a vicious sight to behold, but in some sick innocent way, we took pleausre from it. All part of growing up, I suppose (In certain social contexts)

A well deserved award, Tim. This truly captures the spirit of the place. The colours are so earthy. The girl's glee is so uninhibited and spontaneous and you got her hopping!! Great shot.

You can almost feel her excitement - great picture. I think I would have preferred not to have known what was promting this reaction, but there you go ...that's life!

I can only say that I'm surprised only ten people commented so far. There are so many things to like about the photo, including the colors, the sharpness and position of the little girl and the overall composition. I would love to have a chance to stoll the streets in Trinidad - after seeing your shot!
