An exquisite close up of this elegant little creature, she looks just like a ballerina and is posing so beautifully for you. As always the light, colours and detail are just wonderful.

What a Stunner Tim! Don't think I saw these when I went hinting dragonflies last year. Shame the weather didn't work out for it this year... always next year maybe Smile

A superb species and captured to perfection. Bright eyed and alert and the minute detail is captured to perfection!

doesn't suit the heavy rain and wind that occured both days I was in the direction of the Camargue where the dragonfly hotspot is unfortunately!

Are all these dragonflies and damselfloes close to home?

And there was me, just thinking as I logged back in, you'd photographed it near Sault, hence the title...

That'll be the little dam I can't remember where to find again!
