By centur
Puleeze dont all go 'crazy' on me now I am actually looking for feedback from Pete Murrel "if he will be so Kind "as well as any other interested digital manipulators on this site This is very early work of mine learning Photo Impact ..there was a photo in there b4 I decorated it ...believe me Wink I post purely as a means of visual comunication ..I actually find this filter in PI a bit um ... predictable or something ..but effective as well .....cheryl

I am quite taken with this image Cheryl, I always feel with manipulated imagery that I want to see it before as well as after. Purely to try and learn whats been done. You see I am quite a novice when it comes to digital and nosey to boot.

this is a really good image. I like the curl affect, not sure of the shadows. Also not sure where the titles coming from. Was this just a case of applying a filter or was there more to it.

Cheryly - as discussed before, this is a difficult filter to apply.IMO if applied wrongly it tends to look cheesey.Your image certainly works and with a little judicious rotation and cropping, would be even better.Pete

I agree with pressman, a bit of rotation & cropping... I sorta like the image..it's just looks a little unfinished

I like the idea here - and nice texture and everything .. my only picky comment would be that when you flatten it out in your mind's eye (or rather - when I flatten it out .. lol) it doesn't come out properly .. for me this is unsatisfying because the image is on both sides of the paper and therefore feels 'wrong' somehow - although you might well have intended exactly that.

I agree with Suzi - the idea of the page curl is that you see the other side of the "paper" and what lies beneath - in this image, the page is curled, but the image still shows through.
This has the same effect on me as seeing images with incorrect light/shadow - my mind just screams at me that it's wrong.

Bill and BarrySmile np re the original image ..unfortunately I have it no longer Sad (lost in format)I can tell u that it was just a shot of ya standard shop floor manequine (very standard ..human skin tones and artficial lighting from the images right)...the model's colouring was created soley from unsharp mask used to its extreems I created the jewellary with experimentation in the Text tool. Paddy yes it is unfinished to a certain degree that being ...that the image as is.. does sream to me as well ..ah yes so much more could be done to it ...I personally got heaps of ideas from itWinkSuzi blue ..yes it was intentional I like the "butter paper "feel it exhibits ...even the phrase onion layer comes to my mind...Thanks Pete i will play a little more with the crop and rotation tool on future images to give an image more Impact and Less Photo Impact ....eweee that Pun WAS SOOOO BAD cherylWinkthanks again all!obtw: The title was purely Subject .. twas a map(as in a way to find a place) ... for me in Photo Impact as well as a 'suggestion' for the viewer
