How come, as soon as I pay you the compliment of pushing out the envelope, you start submitting seascapes Wink)) I've quite liked the other two Cheryl but this one does nothing for me at all. It lacks a focal point and is fairly featureless in composition. Nice powdery pastal shades though and I would really like to see what's around the corner on the left. Sorry ;-(((

Hi Cheryl I would never have guessed this was one of your shots. I would have stepped closer to the railing to eliminate it from the shot and concentrate on the sea and sky. There seems to be something interesting bottom left (a rocky outcrop ?) that could make a good bit of foreground interest. I've just returned from the Coromandel Peninsula where I did some seascape calendar shots. I used an ultrawide angle lens with the camera on a tripod just where the wave were lapping in. The idea is that the waves themselves were the foreground. I'll post them as soon as I can (be a couple of weeks as they go back to the UK first). There's a filter called 81b, it's pale honey in colour and adds warmth to the photo. Not everyone likes it (but I do), it might have been nice here.
