I like it!! I have to say I wish the shadow on the left wasn't quite a prevalent but I really like the composition of statue/shadow. Excellent.

Path through the trees

Beautiful scene. Converging perspective lines always get my attention. I wonder what this would look like cropped in portrait orientation in stead of landscape. Just a thought. Thanks for your comment my "Crested" photo.

I love the colors! I agree with DRicherby...basically solid, but it does need straightening and I don't like the way the bridge runs out of the middle of the right side of the frame. I too think the tower is too close to the center. Maybe a different crop? I uploaded a straightened and cropped mod. The mod uploaded is a bit distorted here and there because it was sized back up to 600x400, from quite a bit smaller after the crop. Though if it had been framed tighter, that wouldn't be present. I didn't do any sharpening on the mod though. My bad.

The composition on this is excellent. The low angle viewpoint is great.

I have to agree about the stray grass/branch. But more, the sky is a tad too dark for me. The highlights on the tops of the tops of the grass are beautiful, but against the dark sky, I had a little trouble reconciling the "whole" in my mind for a couple minutes.

But overall, I like it.

river dee in the snow

Yup, the shadow is definitely a distraction, and probably the first thing I saw when I looked at the foreground. But aside from that my initial response was that I like the shot.

As a thought, I wonder what it would have looked like with the waterline on the far shore a little higher in the frame. Maybe even shot from kneeling or lying down on the ground right at the waters edge. Would have made for some nice looong reflections.

Very nice! Have to agree with Ty... but why doesn't my Mustang look this mean? Oh... I guess it's cause even though it's a GT is just doesn't have the effects. Damn! Now I saw your picture... I feel like I gotta go spend a lot of money on that too! Camera, Car, Camera, Car, Camera, Car.... $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ it just NEVER ENDS! Smile

I always enjoy looking at your portfolio. Very nice. I only wish I had more time for working on my own photographic improvement.

Oh my goodness... I was going to comment on pictures... but I don't have all day to comment on them all. They are all absolutely beautiful! What a wonderful profile. I am still learning, and I like think, improving. Smile One day I hope mine will look like this!

Thank you for you comment on my peaceful little path. Smile

Thanks for your comment on my Grace shot... I'm learning... I think Wink ... And just wanted to say you have a beautiful portfolio... but I think I've already said that in the past. Mine will eventually get there.

Hey.... you leave my Prozac alone!! Wink and I still think you have one of the most beautiful portfolios on the site! I do regularly look though it when I'm trying to find wonderful visual examples and inspiration. I haven't managed to achieve anything of much note myself, but much inspiration does come from your portfolio!

Thanks for the comments on my In a Fog photo. But the real reason I'm leaving this comment is to say WOW! What a beautiful PF. I was going to leave a comment on a couple of your shots when I first started looking at 'em, but I'd be here all day. They are ALL beautiful. I can only hope my photography will eventually reach the same level.
