the espresso maker

By bliba
La Pavoni manufactures some of the finest and most recognized manual lever espresso machines in the world. Crafted in Italy since their introduction in 1961, these works of art are as beautiful as they are functional.

the pavoni espresso maker is certainly the most beautiful on the market. it looks like it's right out of a 1920's milan bar.a combination of style, quality and reliability. but it's not easy to use. this isn't for push-button automatic types. everything, from what coffee you use to how you measure and pack it, to how much pressure you exert, to how long you let the water run, will affect the final outcome. it takes weeks of practice till you get the hang of it and more practice till you learn how to make coffee to match your tastes. once you get the hang of it you've got a gorgeous piece of italian design that makes a near-perfect espresso (face it, at home you'll never match a italian barrista). but it takes work
have a great WEEKEND

thanks for looking

Deep sighs of contentment... Perfect rich deep coffee tones, satisfying tchnology, a quiet atmosphere for conversation - this says it all.. 8am is the perfect time of day to open an image like this, my mind is drifting into espresso Happy-Land.

If anyone needed a lesson in how to make an inanimate object look romantically attractive, then this would be it. A classic, Ollie, masterful... Dave

HI Ollie,
Just back-tracked through your previous uploads and enjoyed myself (visually!) Been to England for a few days where I had some rather poor offerings in coffee, and this reminds me of my times spend on holiday in Italy many years ago, mind you,the austrians know how to make a good coffee, once you´ve waded through the baffling choice!

This superb. The LB has imparted a sense of romance to the machinery. Mind you, it required a true romantic to think of it! Beautiful tones and perfect toning, Oliver.

Have a great week-end!

Back to this again, it's all about craftsmanship, yours, the manufacturer's, the barrista's. Coffee-making in the UK has improved beyond recognition in recent decades but it's still viewed as a job for students and work-experience kids, not a serious art. That's our tragedy.
