I like this kind of shot, a firmd and striking pattern in that water, then something to break it up, like a surfer, or in this case, a lot of Groynes.

they may be a bit close to the edge fo the frame here - not much lower and I think they may be stronger.

also, a slightly unlevel horizon... it's pretty abstract, so you can get away with it, but I'd either go level or very very unlevel

I like this shot - the lines and the texture of the ripples on the water, the silhouettes of the wood...
Think though that the white border around the image is way too heavy for the shot. Reduce it to a 1 or 2 pixel width border (on a 500 pixel shot) and the image itself gets more attention.
