Hi Charlie, welcome to the Critique Gallery. You've been on the site a while, and you have an impressive portfolio here, so I guess you know what this part of the site is about.
I like this, and to be honest I suspect that the reason why there have been no comments here yet is that there is little to criticise. The composition is satisfying, inviting, with a hint of mystery as the path winds out of sight. I guessed what you had done processing-wise, it works. Just that hint of wan, thin colour actually looks colder than a straight b&w.
I've uploaded a modification - all that I have done is add a bit more contrast to the foreground snow and shadows. The shadows say strong, low sunlight, so to my eye the snow should sparkle just a bit more. A small plus exposure compensation factor, plus a bit of tweaking to brighten the b&w version used - I suspect that that's where some of the slight dullness may have crept in.
It's only a very slight change - this really is a lovely image.
