REally struggling with no home Broadband as Some clown dug up the cables for the Portsmouth area when doing road works. So I'm doing GE using my iPhone as a personal hotspot, god alone knows what it'll be costing! Hey ho.

My minimalist offering from my Bournemouth shoot on Sunday morning, I hope you like it, I do and its now my desktop image on my macbook!

Thanks for looking and to all those that took the time to click or common (or both) on yesterdays upload.

They say less is more with some shots and I think this is an extreme example of this , works really well

"Less is more" -- definitely the case here. Love the limited palette and the absence of distracting elements. I can see why this would be a great desktop.
I can't believe you are doing GE via your phone? Yikes - you are putting some phone executive's child through University.

It's just using it as a hotspot for my laptop!

Thanks for the comments Walter

Now this is serious. Hardcore minimal. Brilliant. You keep pulling something out of the bag, again and again. I could live with this, quite happily.

P.S. Hey, SNAP!!! I use a MacBook too. Oh well, there's us well and truly marginalized then .....

I have to confess I do like a bit more subject matter Mark,
but I think this would have a calming effect for stressed out people.

The limited palette works really well as does the central horizon. I think the pebbles are essential for interest and one could almost do with making more of them, a lower angle perhaps? Can't decide about the headland but on balance I think Jeremy is right, it helps pull you through the image. I don't think this would have worked with a cloudy sky as it would have upset the beautiful balance you've achieved. Quite a skill to make cloudless mornings at the beach work in your favour and you are very good at this kind of image now; lovely stuff! Smile

Simple and very effective, Mark. I can't decide on the headland and the pebbles....maybe they divide attention. Not really a criticism just a couple of variations showing just one of these features.

It may be just a tad too minimal for my taste Mark but I can see that I may be in a minority. Certainly has great tones. Sorry to hear about the boradband - too bad it had to happen when you are GE.
