Child's Play

By chase
I have had a set of images wizzing round in my head for some time now but didn't have the props Sad
A quick visit to a well known selling site & Bingo & pretty little dolls pram for me to play withWink !!!

This is the first of a mini set...I still need more props for some of the others I have in mind.

Lit by daylight from my two big kitchen windows, one infront & the other to the right of the frame.
Major faffing in photoshop Wink
Thanks for taking the time to look/comment.

ya need to paint that kitchen wall if you ask me Grin

nice idea and i like the pram, its not much like the one i just bought for my grandson Howie Henry which cost as much a Skoda car ; )- and may be built better

are you going to Whitby for the gothsteampunk meet

Lol Phil,I would give my right arm for a wall in my house like this Wink
The pram is gorgeous,it stands about 12" high with the roof up so it's nice & portable for me to plonk where I need it to be...didn't cost an arm & a leg either.
Nope, not going to attempt Whitby, much as I would like to...too many toggers for me,I likes it peaceful Wink

Thanks for your attention everyone.

Interesting set of objects for a still life Janet. Old and new good textures too.

The pram is wonderful and the old teddy goes well as a period piece.
I might have left out he coloured toys just to maintain that old world feel.
No doubt you'll have may combinations to come.

Excellent image, but I agree with Kate regarding the coloured plastic toys. Grin

Background, pram, teddy and faffing I like but I've got to agree that the modern bits don't really go with the overall period feel of the piece. You could go bizarre and put some body parts in those containers though .... the odd eyeball mixed in with marbles? Scope aplenty with this setup methinks.

Well composed still life work a bit of old and new with the props, it's excellent.

Oh yes....I did want some nice old wooden bricks...they are on their way.
Wasn't really going for period as such.......yet Wink...just testing the water.
Eeewwww body parts in the containers ??? I don't think I could go quite that far Wink
Marbles....hmmmmm,didn't think of those...right off to raid Mum's house at the weekend !
Thanks all.

I agree about modern bits. Instead, why not remove and add some crayoning on the wall ( rather than the crayons)

Another minor point Janet, the Teddy could do with bringing forward a touch, as it's on the same plane as the pram, it looks a bit 2d, as there's not enough room for his back with the wheel.
