Old Stuff

By chase
Some of my ever growing collection of old stuff.

An HDR image,3 frames combined in Lightroom, finished in Photoshop.
Lit by a small lightbox, camera left and a silver reflector in the distance camera right.

I went for the dark look to this, think it suits the subject better.
I did have a go at a mono too (I'm not brill at conversions but I quite liked the result) Will attempt to put it up as a version.

Thanks for taking the time to look.
Janet xx

A cracking collection - beautifully lit.
I especially love the old books.

The books are a bit on the battered side Kate, just how I like them for a frame or two Wink

What a super image. We are seeing less and less still life images today and your wonderful image shows just how good it can be.

The mod are only minor changes to the light. Great job...

A good setup Janet - I was thinking perhaps lighten the shell and the bird a little to lift them out of the darker area.Something similar to Capto mod 2,he seems to have had the same idea.

Thanks for the mod Ivor and your UA, appreciated.
Yes Brian,I see what you mean from Capto's mod, it does indeed lift the whole image somewhat. I will get there....it's been while Wink
