Right Lock, Wrong Key

By chase
My bigger stuff is now safely packed away Sad so I have to resort to the smaller, easily accessible things.

Keys suspended from a dress rail with old string.
A 3 frame HDR image lit by daylight camera left, combined in Lightroom, finished with a bit of faffing in Photoshop.

Don't ask about the old marble, it was just there, staring at me waiting for its' time infront of the lens Wink

I did a mono version which I will add as a mod incase anyone wants to play Wink

Thanks for taking time out to drop by.
Constructive critique and mods welcome.

I love the bizarre formality!
A dear friend of ours was head sales rep for Chubb covering much of southern Africa back in the '60s and '70s. He has some extraordinary stories...

Makes a wonderful semi-abstract image, Janet, top still life with a difference.

That was quick guys, I only nipped into the kitchen to butter a Hot Cross bun...yummy Smile

Moira and Dave, wonderful to have your UAs thank you.

I must admit I was tempted to get the keys in focus too but, I resisted Wink

A good one Janet, nicely arranged and the background keys are a clever touch. Itís a pretty good mono conversion but on balance I prefer the colour version. Needs a few cobwebs though Wink

Wowsers Janet! That is very well done. The colour version for me - I'm a rust fiend!

You won't believe how much time I spent looking for your moth, bee or some insect. So perfectly arranged Janet. I do prefer the colour it makes me want to put a drop of oil in those locks to make them turn.

Great HDR that doesn't look HDR, just natural. really good idea... andy

An original idea Janet, well executed.I like the rust on the old padlocks, the random marble and the blurred keys behind give a sense of depth to the image. Definitely the colour version for me, it's essentially monochromatic anyway.

What a great title Janet, and what a composition!!!!! Super image of these old locks in all their rusty glory, and that background adds the finishing touch.

Delightful Janet. Definitely right about resisting the keys being in focus.
I just love it.

I do like the version, but have to agree with that master madman, DaveU that a few random cobwebs would make it even better.
Do hope you are not suffering from withdrawal pains, not being able to access all your 'toys'.Wink

Colour for me Janet , wonderful rusty tones - I think the mono shows more contrast though.
