Spring Drops

By chase
Some Snowdrops from my garden plonked in one of those glasses that contained a nice smelling candle..took me a while to clean it out Wink
The lace is very old, knitted by a friend of my Nana's.
I had a bash at going lighter for didn't work,I do seem to lean towards the darker textures.

Lit by daylight from 2 large windows in my kitchen.
A 3 frame HDR combined & tonemapped in Photomatix.
Textures added on adjustment layers & blended in Photoshop.

Thankyou for taking the time to look/comment,have a great weekend, whatever you get up to Grin
Janet xx

Yes, if you're going to use a texture it may as well be dark. This is beautifully rendered. I envy you the spring flowers....11 in. of the white stuff expected hereSad!

Thanks all, your comments are much appreciated.

Bev,I'm pleased I have inspired you to take another look at your glass candle jars..all sorts of uses & good to recyle them.Have a bash with the texture stuff,it's good to learn new things.

Rien de niggle Mr U ??? flippin' 'eck are you alright,do you need a rub down with a wet cloth or summat ?.....I know, your bonnet has slipped over your eyes & you can't see properly huh ? Tongue

Absolutely beautiful again and I love the knitted thingy. I know what you mean about going for the dark, I do it instinctively as well. I'm very envious of snowdrops but on the other hand, I can't complain about any lack of wild flowers here. The fields will be full with marguerites soon and I've already spotted a few poppies. Alas days of rain and more to come so can't go out collecting.

I haven't got Photomatix, is it something easy to learn or something that takes patience (which I don't have!)

Cheers for the HC Pete, much appreciated.

Photomatix is quite a good little program for HDR work Lydia, you could try Ololneo too,at the mo it's just in the Beta stage but worth a download...both are easy to use,no patience required Wink
