The veggies fought back and brought in the heavies to overthrow 'The Mincer', although I fear it may be restored, back to mince another day Wink

Lit by daylight camera left, reflector camera right.

I thought this was an appropriate follow on to yesterdays image Wink

Thanks for dropping by.
Constructive critique and mods welcome.

I really like the colour and texture of the pumpkins/gourds/ squashes... muted shadows, soft light, aged to perfection, subtle colour... I've been trying to photo some quinces, which are really photogenic, but they look a bit dead compared to yours! You bring life into still life.

ĎAnd a group of victorious Aubergines were seen leaving the building 🙂 this works really well, good for you. Poor mincer looks very defeated. They are resilient, though 🙂

Lovely colour tones and textures, but that mincer looks as though it's squaring up to the big guys in a rather threatening manner😆😆😆!!!!
Another wonderful still life, Janet.

You seem to have a lot of objects we had when I were a lad! We had a mincer just like this, which clamped to the kitchen table, and I always got the job of mincing the meat (it didn't come already minced in those days!) 😁 It came with two or three discs each having different sized holes that the meat fed through so you could choose how fine or how coarse you wanted your mince 😃 A fine set up and capture here, Janet 👍

Same memories Trev. We used to put bread through the mincer to clean out the bits of meat left at the end of the session. I reckon every household had a Spong or something similar.

Yep, my Nana and my Mum had a Spong, and they used bread to clean all the bits too Smile
This mincer has all the discs intact, and it works....bonus, although the Butcher is much faster with his mincer than this one is Wink

Thanks all.

Lovely warm autumny light and colours on this one Janet. I like the arrangement too, and thre contrast in texture between the pumpkins and the mincer.
Was the soup good? Wink
