Destruction II

By chase
Very different lighting to the first one in this set.
The red light is from a small darkroom light mixed with a little daylight camera left, taken against my dark backdrop.

I wanted to try and 'light' the bulb, a bit of an experiment but I am fairly pleased with the result.

A 3 frame HDR image, combined in Lightroom, finished in Photoshop.

Thanks for getting this far.
Constructive critique and mods welcome.

Fine bits & pieces here, Janet - like the red glow on the bulb, I thought at first look it was an old radio valve... 😃👍

I like this. I wonder why HDR was necessary, but having said that, it worked and is not evident. Quality first rate.

Hi Paul, I do like to use HDR, particularly in mixed light situations, I can then choose what is seen and what is not. I suppose it's a bit like taking 2 images for a landscape, one for the sky and one for the land.
For me, HDR done gently is much better for lifting the shadows and refining the highlights...naturally and much easier on the eye.

Cunning use of the safelight to suggest the glow of a valve...
