A couple of days ago I went out with all good intentions of photographing moving water ( another removal of a comfort zone) so off I went to the local water pumping station on the river bank close to my home. It was a disaster !! I couldn't get close enough, all the gates were locked and the way down to the water was so dangerously slippery, I gave up Sad....I was on my own.

Arriving back at home I noticed the moss on some bricks I have in the garden had really grown, with plenty of seed heads, there was my alternative, right infront of me !

Lit by harsh daylight with an umbrella over to cut out some of the light.
Fiddled with in Photoshop until I had something different....I lost count of the things I tried Blush

This is going to be printed and hung on my wall.

Thanks for calling in, I guess it's a bit of a Marmite image but I like it, ( I don't like Marmite though ).
Constructive critique and mods welcome.
Janet xx

I was about to give you a UA, until I read that you don't like Marmite - you heathen!
Just kiddin', kidTongue

That's the biggest problem with PS and especially Nik SilverEfex where I do most of my processing, I end up with several variations, all of which I like, which gives me the headache of which to choose...
Itís another world down there .....certainly a good image

Instant award material, absolutely stunning and I love it! But we ought to discuss the Marmite thing ... I mean, c'mon ... everyone loves Marmite, don't they?! One of my best memories as a kid was sitting on the windowsill, book in hand, and a plate of hot buttered Marmite toast Grin Can't beat it. Mind you, hubby decided to buy me Marmite dark chocolate one Christmas because he thought I'd love it (you know - Marmite+chocolate=woman's heaven kinda thinking?) ... nah, not on your Nellie. Most disgusting thing I've ever tasted! Nearly put me off chocolate for life ... nearly ... Wink

But this image I'd put on my wall any day.
A superb image and I do like Marmite!
