As time eased the memory of my mother's old age and death, I was able to remember her again as a younger woman. Time does that for us. And photography helps so much, it's hard to imagine that only the last handful of generations have been able to remember like this.

The older we get, the more memories we accumulate, and, unfortunately, the more we forget...that is where photography plays an important role as an aid to remembering...

Memories are important but it's also good that we can see what our recent ancestos looked like and to preserve such images for future generations. Sandy's idea of a photobook is a good idea and there's the oppoprtunity to include a biography or two of those family members.
