Tool Box

By chase
The box belonged to my Dad, as did the hand drill and the wood plane.
The rest is mine, collected over the years.
The bg is a piece of black velvet.

Taken in daylight camera left with a little help from the old torch (the glass is cracked).

An HDR image, 3 frames, each 2 stops apart. Combined in Lightroom and finished in Photoshop.

Thanks for dropping by.
Constructive critique and mods welcome.
Please stay safe everyone.

Excellent. So your Dad owned a large cow GrinGrinWink. The beam of light is inspired. I know you can also do that in PS, but hey, better the "real thing". I wish my local charity shops offered anything worth having. I'm not inspired by 10 year old New Look clothing Grin

Brilliant I remember members of my family having an emergency torch. Have you created an image with the red beacon light.

Fiona, you are just going to the wrong charity shops !!

Thanks all.
Gavin, many thanks for your UA, so very much appreciated.
I don't think the red light has any life left in it and something inside rattles somewhat Sad

Some memories there - I remember using several of those items 'back in the day'.
It also reminds me that I would have been at the dentist today, but for the fact that they are shut because of a certain virus...

A fine still-life, with tools in there that take me back to my schooldays - many, many moons ago! My dad had one of those hand drills too 😀👍

Love the tool box b/g - inspiration for everybody with tools in their garage or shed.
Wonderful looking tools. I couldn't find a hammer recently so used the wooden handle of a 48 year saucepan handle which had come off - how's that for recycling?

Carole, thanks for taking the time to do a mod, a little hefty for me but a different way of presenting this image.
