La Tour du Plo, St Yrieix la Perche

By chataignier
First post for a quite a while - I've been busy buying and selling gear. After 35 years with Canon, the weight of a big reflex plus 3 lenses (the 24-70 f2.8 weighs over 2lbs on its own and the 70-200 f2.8 even more) finally got me down. The holiday in Bruges last autumn was the final straw, it was the first time we've been away recently without the car, so I had to carry everything. It stopped being fun.
So... I've sold it all and bought a Fuji X-t3 and some lenses. Lightweight, excellent high ISO performance, all the key adjustments by knobs not buried in menus - I love it already !
Unfortunately it's been raining most of the time since the new kit arrived, but I got a few shots in our local town between showers. This is one of them.

I suspect it's water-resistant, too, David.

I've never understood why anyone would carry a big zoom around, myself. But then, I love primes.

Good move with mirrorless: my own choice is Sony, but Fuji set some early standards, and are clearly keeping well up with the game.

Love the composition David. Must admit I use my Fuji XS-1 for virtual everything.
