The Galápagos' most famous species, primarily for its name... The blue-footed booby. One morning we left the boat early in a panga (big rubber dinghy) to see what we could find in Black Turtle Cove on Santa Cruz island amongst the mangroves. The BFB's provided quite a magnificent show for us as they hunted together in a huge group diving together like torpedoes into the water. This one was a bit more sedate as it watched whilst perched on the lava.
