Sea of Blue

By ChazB
Hi everyone, hope you've all had a great weekend. Since going to Mayfield Lavender (near Banstead in Surrey) for the first time last year, I got the chance to go again today but unfortunately only during late afternoon/early evening when the light was still a bit harsh. So when the sun went behind a cloud, I decided to concentrate on the detail, colour and patterns in the field and came up with this. I took three in total but the lighting in this shot was a bit more special! I'm hoping to get back to the field for a sunrise/sunset before the lavender is harvested in August.

Thanks for looking and for the kind response to my two common blue butterfly shots Smile

That was well thought out......avoiding the horizon and just allowing these rows of lavender to make a statement.
Very well done.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments - I knew this was a bit different from the ePz norm and wasn't sure what people would make of it!
