Mobile 'phones are amazingly good for a great range of photographs, including closeups.

The two things they're not so great for are any sort of action photograph (there's a longer delay between pressing the button and the picture happening), and pulling in distant scenes (they tend to have wideangle lenses).

It's worth noting that if you tap the screen over the subject, this will - with most modern mobiles - select where the lens focusses. However, the blur here may very well be (so to speak) because the subject was moving too fast for the shutter speed.
