Avebury Sunset

Avebury Sunset by Andy_Curtis

Hi Andy, love the shot, but not got many votes, I would reshoot it with the large stone in the F/G bigger in the frame, or did you put it there, as there are no shadows behind the stone, and they should be there, are there any other large stones that could be included? at a different angle, or just is this one that just stands alone...in your mind...this shot has Prehistoric appeal for me, and I would loose the homes into the hedgerows...Just my ideas cant wait to see the OM1 shot of this if you redo it my way....Smile Kind regards Chen.

Nice try if a little blurred...Good catch...I think with your camera you could have got a good shot on a manual setting of 1/200 ISO !50ish...I have an OLY...and 1/100/1/200th sec, it would have made it all a lot sharper... try for a manual set up next time, your camera will perform better every time that way, well engineered but a bit of a failure for a print...Chen.

Superbly well lit shot that is nice and sharp, but, IMHO, turned away just that tad too much again...Chen.

I dont think it is as poor as they are saying here, the flaw for me is that she is not turned enough to the camera, I light peoples faces from both sides with any light scource, a window or a reflector or flash and two reflectors to bounce it between the two, I have a good few exaples of shadow free portrait shots.
Her eyes have it for me here and I think it is a really good shot.

Kind regards Chen.

Dont worry I just love to see them, they are so easily spooked, I had a lot of trouble getting any shots of the in NZ, just watched them on the air currents, but they were camera shy for me....Congrats!! Chen.

Bernie you continue to show us views of the country on the other side of the world that we would never otherwise see.

You do get out and about with the camera much more than a lot of us do, well done.

You have a different portfolio of unedited shots, that is quite refreshing as today in some ways it is all about the editing, well done and thanks for sharing.
