Award Shortlist

HUGE thanks to Brian (Bricurtis) and Ann (EAS) for their wonderful User Awards on ‘Plain Tiger on Siew Mei’. I am pretty sure I will never again have this many user awards on one pic…lol…madness Smile

Now then…here’s an entry I sent in for last month's EPZ competition themed "Flowers". I didn’t get anywhere but I really like this image so I thought I’d upload it here. Here’s the descrip I included with the entry:

Up until recently, I’d known this night blooming cactus only by its Hokkien name: Keng Hwa.
I’ve found out it’s an Epiphyllum oxypetalum. Think I’ll stick with Keng Hwa Smile

The first image was taken at 8.28pm. The last image at 11.08pm. Hence the title.

Flower pot on the dining room table, the bloom was lit by the fluorescent light tube up on the wall. The camera was placed on an overturned tissue box. Markings were made on the tissue box around the camera so the cam’s position could be maintained were it nudged out of place. Then shots taken at intervals with self-timer.

PS Congrats to Niknut and AnnChown for getting shortlisted in the comp Smile
