Alrighty…I’ve had my fun dipping my toes into Downing Street (refer description here for clarification) for the sheer novelty of it…and came away learning nothing.

Back to the normal voting system, which was never broke and never needing fixing.

Now here’s something which ain’t too sharp ‘cos I took it handheld at 1/10sec. I took several of this view and this was the sharpest and levelest. You know yesterday’s shot taken at 7.33pm? Well this was taken at 7.29pm. I know I know…how WOULD you have cracked the code of the title, eh?

Now I didn’t wanna process or enhance the pic too much ‘cos I wanted to convey as closely as possible what I was presented with that evening.

So the processing for this has been limited to increasing contrast by 15% and brightness by 5%.

The original image details are: 1/10sec handheld, f3.1, EV –1.0, ISO 100

Not the sharpest and punchiest of images, but those rays are pretty cool, huh? Linda, yep, you would’ve definitely enjoyed being sat there for the sky that evening Smile

Those rays are definitely the strong point, the simplicity of the composition too. But 100 ISO? you could have upped it just a bit... But full marks, you have a steady hand.

MMmmmm - an atmospheric abstract in warm tones. Who needs foreground interest, after all? Very lovely, all warm and cosy.

Nice one Andrew.
I agree with your thoughts re. the down vote, if I don't like a picture I don't vote for it. This down vote option is akin to sending an anonymous letter to someone, and this system gets my one and only down vote.

Just beautiful Andrew. Wish I'd been there to gaze in awe! As stated above you have a very steady hand!! Looks pretty sharp to me, but I always wonder how much sharpness matters with sunsets as a little 'blur' adds to the dream like quality of the best sunset images I think?
kind regards,
